Hello! Thank you for your time! n_n I’m about to pour my heart onto this page with ramblings, so prepare yourself!~

The Bell maiden’s Bloom Prologue is available just in time for spring! (Which is Bell Rite season in game~)

I just wanted to take the time to thank all the lovely folks who’ve been so sweet and supportive in my journey to create this twisted world of flowers! Like I’ve said before, I wasn’t initially planning to share this game with the world, but it truly evolved into quite a special and unique adventure over the months that I’m quite proud of. It’s been SO much fun to working on this!!

Now, there’s an even more important reason for why I decided push through and share my flowery fairy tale. And that’s because the lack of dark skinned heroines in otomes is absolutely CRIMINAL. Personally, I’m an overly emotional hopeless romantic who loves romance games, novels, shows etc. Otomes are my favorite medium to explore romance, and while I love them to bits, it’s fairly alienating honestly. Sometimes it’d be nice to play as a heroine that looks similar to myself. That’s just human nature, and it’s okay to want that.

I’m also thoroughly exhausted with nearly all depictions of Black girls, if they’re included at all, to be the “strong” one who fights on the front lines protecting everyone else, while getting very little care or consideration in return. Strength is admirable obviously, but that’s not all there is to the Black female experience. No one can be strong 24/7.

We’re human beings who laugh, cry, sip our tea, wear our fancy dresses, and YES, there are some of us who want to be carried away by our beautiful prince charming. You can never get these depictions of Black women in media, so I decided to become the change I wanted to see. After that, I rolled up my sleeves, and poured my heart into creating a world where a Black girl is allowed to be soft and handled delicately with love and care. What a revolutionary concept!

     Rosea isn’t a fighter. She’s a healing spiritual leader who works to make the wold just a bit softer and kinder through the power of empathy. All the messy violent stuff is left to the brave love interests she meets. Though, they too would rather come to an understanding than resort to violence unless completely necessary. (Weeeeelll, except for Zinnia. He’ll definitely send you to the emergency room, but I digress… >.>)

          Anyways, I truly hope that the Black girls who play this game can feel just a tad more seen, heard, and appreciated. That said, this is an adventure anyone and EVERYONE can enjoy. It will always be free to download and play. Should there be enough support, I will continue to add to it bit by bit, and create each of the flower boy’s routes one at a time.
