This project is a work of passion for my love of otomes, fairy tales, flowers, and a desperate need for more Soft Black Girls in media.

Chapters will release slowly over time as my twisted mind tells me the story.

Within Alyssum, the land of the divine, two major religions guide the lives of the people. They are the Bell Flower Faith of Kaffir, and the Dianthus Faith of the Labyrinth.

Tensions have always been high between these groups. And once their deities vanished from the realm, the fragile peace these faiths once held quickly dissolved.

As "Bell Maiden", you were born into the divine bloodline blessed by Amaranthus, the deity of your religion, and possess a unique gift. As a proxy to God, you have the power to cultivate Bell Flowers; magical blooms with miraculous healing capabilities of Amaranthus' creation.

You must uphold your duties to the church and to the citizens of Kaffir. In these troubling times, the people look to you for security as you keep the memento from Amaranthus, the Bell Flowers, from withering away.

    But not all is what it seems in the Holy City...

  A frightening darkness lies beneath the church, but it's up to you whether to uncover its mysteries, or stay loyal to your faith.

ꕥ There are two major story routes, "Mystery" and "Faith", with two suitors each. The routes branch off into individual stories starring the flower boy you're paired off with. These stories highlight the different experiences and perspectives of each love interest within the overbearing theocracy.

You’re the future Bell Maiden of the Holy City of Kaffir, and your coming-of-age ceremony is fast approaching. You don’t feel quite ready for your new responsibilities, but unfortunately, you’re living in dangerous times. For the sake of your people, you must rise to the occasion and face your duties head on. No matter what path you choose.

 A man with an air of mystery who's also known as the "Jet Black Prince".  Despite encountering him only once, it feels like you’ve known him your entire life.

Your beloved childhood friend who is just as fluffy and sweet as the delicious pastries he bakes. He's a bit of a worrier, and acts with extreme caution, but works very hard to realize his dream of becoming a bishop for the Church of Amaranthus.

An elusive thief hiding in the shadows of Kaffir. Apparently this man knows no fear, and possesses a rare skill very few in Alyssum can master. He also has an adorable pet bird who helps him navigate sticky situations.  

   

  The no nonsense general of the Holy Guard. He's dutiful and extremely loyal to the Church of Amaranthus. You'd better pray he's on your side though, because this man is ruthless, and has a bit of a sadistic streak. He also gets a kick out of teasing you and watching you squirm.

  Your mother, and the previous Bell Maiden of Kaffir. She's wise, caring, and is one of the most respected Bell Maidens in recent history.

The soft spoken, calm, and highly intelligent Apostle of Kaffir.  He carries an intimidatingly divine aura wherever he goes.
